CRAFT together with
Milano METRO-HUB Center, the Department’s collaborative initiative embedded in
UN-Habitat MetroHUB program, is organising the closing event of the
24th Triennale Milano International Exhibition – Inequalities (on view until November 9, 2025). The event will take place on
October 31, 2025, on the occasion of
World Urban Day, and is
co-curated by a team of colleagues from
DAStU who, under the scientific responsibility of
Professor Alessandro Balducci, contributed to the design and production of
The Space of Inequalities – Environment, Mobility, Citizenship.
An Open Dialogue on Inequalities
The event proposes an open dialogue between scholars and representatives of cities, metropolitan areas, and megalopolises, to foster a high-level debate that brings together diverse perspectives, open questions, tensions, aspirations, and concrete experiences related to the themes of the Exhibition.

Morning session – Urban Dialogues
A multi-voice conversation between research and practice, connecting academic debate with urban realities to inspire and nurture new fields of action, policies, and projects addressing inequalities.

A round table with representatives of international associations of cities and metropolitan areas, as well as institutions advocating the strategic role of cities in tackling inequalities.

This initiative represents the joint contribution of Triennale Milano and Politecnico di Milano to Urban October, the month dedicated by the United Nations to global reflection and dialogue on the role of cities and metropolitan areas in sustainable development.
