The seminar will present an extensive line of research focused on the impacts of recent major crises on urban segregation dynamics in the Barcelona Metropolitan Region and the inequalities in local response capacities. It will examine both institutional capabilities and collective citizen action, with a particular focus on intermunicipal disparities, their social implications, and the governance challenges they pose for metropolitan areas.
